ABOUT

Born in New York City with museums around every corner, Louisa Rorschach fell in love with the visual arts at a young age. Although initially intent on becoming an art historian, Louisa discovered a passion for printmaking at Colorado College, and decided to create art rather than write about it.

Louisa has interned at Dieu Donné (NYC), been an Artist-in-Residence at The Grünewald Guild (Leavenworth, WA), taught youth art workshops at Camp Blue Bay (East Hampton, NY), Explo at Yale (New Haven, CT), and Lemán Manhattan Prep School (NYC), and spent years as a volunteer studio monitor at EFA’s Robert Blackburn Print-Making Workshop (NYC).

She is currently in an MFA program in Screenwriting at Loyola Marymount University. While pursuing this alternate form of creativity, Louisa is keeping up with printmaking as studio assistant to printmaker and educator Paloma Barhaugh-Bordas.
